History

20+  years of successful maintenance challenges that meet the customers time table within their budget. I have a strong mechanical background with various power plants. I can also dismantle and haul aircraft and transport them safely to your destination.

In 1988, I moved my family from Calmer, IA (off the family farm) to Monticello, MN to start a career in the Aviation Industry. The following is my aviation background:

  • Amjet Aviation, Inc. - (May 96 to April 2001) Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic. I maintained and inspected single, twin and turbine powered engine aircrafts. Participated in restoring a B-25 aircraft.
  • Scott’s Helicopter Service - (Aug. 90 - Sept 94) Maintained and inspected Bell Helicopters.
  • Aero Sales - (Sept. 89 - Aug. 90) Rebuilt single engine aircraft which included: riveting, welding, painting, sheetmetal, fabric reconstruction, and mounting of aircraft engines returning to service. Engine maintenance on twin engine aircraft. Rebuilt aircraft engines and air frames and performed annuals.
  • Broken Aero LTD - (April 88 - Sept. 89) Aviation shop manager. Responsible for accurate cycle counts and physical inventory records.

In May of 2000 I started doing annuals, maintenance and rebuilds on general aviation aircraft and continue to work with customers.

In my restoration shop; I have restored the wings of an N3N, rejigged and replaced tubing of an Aeronca Champ, restored from the ground up a Aeronca Sedan, Stinson, and numerous other aircrafts.

Currently, I am restoring the wings of a Myers.
