John Bjornstad is the grandson of the late John R. Sandberg.  He got his love of aviation from his Grandpa with the numerous adventures he had with "Papa". 

John has just passed his private pilots license and pushing forward to his instrument rating.  He currently is in school full time earning a business degree in aviation.  Plus, in his spare time he is working with Duane and the crew on rebuilding Tsunami.

John is driven to build a second Tsunami for racing.  Between both Sharon and John it will be a small competition for the 3 km speed record (Duane also may be throwing his hat into the ring).
